Caracol
Tour:
An early departure
takes you to the newly excavated ancient Mayan site of
Caracol located deep in the Chiquibul
Rainforest. Caracol, in the 7th century A.D.,
had actually conquered the city of Tikal, Peten, Guatemala.
Next stop is the famous Rio Frio Cave where
stalactites and stalagmites form an eerie backdrop to
an ancient worship place. Finally, swim in the cooling
crystalline waters of the Rio On pools as
it cascade over granite boulders.

Mountain Pine
Ridge Tour:
The
largest national park in Belize and is the oldest land
surface in Central America with various waterfalls.
Visit the Hidden Valley Falls (the picturesque 1000
foot waterfalls). Next stop is the famous Rio
Frio Cave and finally, swim in the pools of
the Rio On.

Macal River
& Archaeological Tour:
Canoe
down the Macal River that flows through
the twin towns of San Ignacio & Santa Elena.
You'll be observing many species of birds, orchids and
green iguanas in their own natural habitat. Your next
stop will be visiting the Archeaological site of Xunantunich,
astonishing yourself with the breathtaking view of El
Castillo, which is 130 ft above the main plaza;
this site consists of six major plazas and 25 temples
and palaces. You will then head for lunch at one of
San Ignacio local hot spots, then head back to
the lodge.

San Ignacio
Tour:
You
will be visiting two minor Archeaological sites.
Cahal Pech, that is right in the San Ignacio
area, then Xunantunich, which is approximately
8 miles from San Ignacio. After enjoying a tasty Belizean
lunch, you will be shopping in the senic town of San
Ignacio, this town was built on 7 hills, San
Ignacio was once used as a major collecting point for
Mahogony and Chicle. It now holds a polulation of over
4000 inhabitants, which includes Creol, Mestizos, Mopan,
Yucateca Maya, Lebanese, and a few Garifuna.

| The Barton

Barton Creek
Cave Tour:
The
Barton Creek Cave by canoe is one of the
most beautiful caves in Belize. This cave was once used
by the Maya as a burial site and for other ceremonial
purposes. View original pottery and skeletal remains
of our Mayan ancestors dating back 2000 years. On your
way to the cave, you will drive through the Amish Community
of Upper Barton Creek. Then you will head
out to visit the Green Hills Butterfly farm and view
about 25 species of tropical butterflies, including
the Blue Morpho.

| Five Sisters Lodge & Tours |
To really
appreciate and enjoy all that nature has allowed us to
offer you, the following must be included on your packing
list: Hiking or walking shoes, river sandals, hat, swimwear,
sun screen, insect repellent, sweaters, poncho, binoculars,
camera and film. The days are warm and the nights cool,
so bring a light jacket.
Activities
at the lodge include swimming, horse back riding through
the rain forest, stargazing, birdwatching, nature trails.

The
Five Sisters Waterfalls:
The Five Sisters Lodge & Tours ensures easy access
to our gorgeous waterfalls by means of Belize's only hydro-powered
rain forest tram! As you decend further down into the
rain forest you will see the Five waterfalls, which give
the Lodge its name.

Once
you have arrived at the pools, the fun begins! You can
swim and relax in crystal natural pools just a stone's
throw away from your cabanas, or you might choose to soak
up the sun on our tiny island, The Garden of Eden.
At the
falls, you will also see a wild display of colorful flowers
- over four hundred and fifty species of orchids, palmettos,
bromeliads and other exotic plants.

Nature
Trails:
You cannot miss our very special guided tour into our
own medicinal nature trail, where you will view and learn
about over 76 different species of medicinal plants and
trees. An interesting experience for those interested
in alternative medicine.
Tours
are also available out of the Pine Ridge Forest Reserve
to other great tourist attractions such as Xunantunich,
Cahal Pech and Altun Ha ruins, the Belize Zoo, the world
famous Blue Hole, the Baboon sanctuary and the Panti Medicinal
Trails.
